Can you imagine a world where nothing changed? It’s hard to do since change is inevitable. It is, in fact, the inevitability of change that makes it so enticing! Look at how far the human race has come in its evolution. It is amazing the advances we have made over the millennia. And we still have many more to make. I like Prince’s lyrics, “I’ve seen the future and it works.”
Use these last days of the year to look back at your past and take stock of the changes that have occurred in your life. Then decide what changes you want to see in the New Year. Ask yourself: How can I make life better for me and everyone around me? What gifts and talents can I share with others that I have been holding back? How can I become more of who I am meant to be?
As you answer these questions, allow yourself to let go of the old You to make room for the new You, and step into tomorrow fearless and joyful and excited about all the discoveries you will make. To quote Anatole France, “All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another.”
Here’s wishing you a year of wonderful moments full of endless personal growth!
